GENERAL INFORMATION
How is Action Photo Booth different?
We offer a classic photo strip with a modern photo booth. Think of us as an interactive party favor!
We have offices located in Studio City and Santa Barbara. We are a local Southern CA and Central Coast photo booth company.
Do you have a web gallery and post party memorabilia?
Yes! All events include a free online gallery. Not only can you view your event images online, you can purchase your favorite pictures as a high quality print, or on a mug, shirt, magnet, or a cool deck of cards! This is a great gift idea for birthdays, anniversaries, and holiday cheer!
Are the photos high quality?
Our photo strips are printed on high quality paper stock, and have a traditional photo paper weight and a nice, semi-gloss finish. With reasonable care your Action Photo Booth photo strips are expected to last for 20+ years.
What is the actual size of an action photo strip?
Each photo strip is 8.5" tall x 2 1/4" wide.
What are the graphic design measurements on top of each action photo strip?
The custom photo strip header (Your Logo, Name, Event Date) is 1" tall x 1 3/4" wide.
To submit a custom photo strip header highlighting your event, you must e-mail us your artwork 14 days in advance of the event, in the following format: JPEG, 261 x 140 pixels.
How fast is a photo strip produced after my guests use the booth?
It takes approximately 2 minutes after the last photo is taken for the photo strip to be produced...roughly 40 photo strips per hour.
How big is the Action Photo Booth?
The booth is 6 feet 2 inches tall, 4 feet 5 inches deep, and 4 feet 7 inches wide. Our booth is modern but elegant, as it was built specifically for event rentals. Our standard curtain color is black and our background is white.
How many people fit inside the Action Photo Booth?
1 - 6 (it's up to you!)
How does the Action Photo Booth work?
When your guests enter the booth, they will see a monitor instructing them to hit the start button. Once they hit the start button, they will see themselves in the monitor, and the monitor will start counting down, prompting them to say "cheese!" This repeats four times, and then a message indicates to your guests that their photo is printing. While this first group waits for their photo outside the booth, the next group is free to enter the booth and get started!
Does Action Photo Booth have an LED monitor screen on the outside so that guests can view what's happening inside the booth?
For your privacy we do not have an outside monitor. Feel free to act silly inside the photo booth!
My event is up or down stairs. My event is on my level patio, but on the other side of a grass backyard. Is this OK?
Yes! There is an additional delivery staff person fee to hand carry the photo booth up stairs or over grass. Our booth was built to break down so it is completely portable.
My event is outside. Is this OK?
Yes! As long as there is protective shelter in case of inclement weather.
Your Action Photo Booth must also be placed in the shade or under a canopy, roof, or inside a tent during the daylight hours as the direct sunlight causes over-exposure to the actual photo strip images.
How much electrical power does the photo booth require?
You must provide power to the Photo Booth (110V, 20 amps, 3 prong outlet within 10 feet of setup).
Do I need to provide a skirted table for the photo booth if I want to Scrapbook?
Yes! Action Photo Booth always gives you Double Prints with each rental. Bring your own scrapbook, pens, and glue sticks and place them on a six or eight foot skirted table next to our photo booth.
How much time do you need to setup the booth before the event?
We arrive one hour prior to the contracted start time to begin set up. For an additional hourly charge we can also load-in earlier than one hour or load-out later.
Will my booth be attended by an On-site specialist throughout my entire event?
Yes! A friendly and knowledgeable On-site technician will be there for the duration of your rental.
What does the $1380 Classic Photo Strip Package include?
- Unlimited instant digital photo strips for up to 4 event hours.
- Choice of color, B&W, or sepia with every photo strip.
- Double prints (Great for Scrapbook!) Custom Photo Strip Header (Your Logo, Name, or Event Date).

What are your additional charges?
Additional charges include extra hours of photo booth rental beyond 4 hours, early load-in or late load-out, delivery beyond 40 miles,
and an additional delivery staff person to carry the photo booth with your technician over grass or up stairs.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, certified checks, and money orders. We also accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card safely through PayPal.com.
What is the process to rent the Action Photo Booth?
Please fill out the request form on our Contact page so we can check availability and send you our 4 Page contract and price list describing our services and fees.
When you decide to rent an Action Photo Booth, please fax us your completed and signed contract to 818-450-0757. A 50% retainer fee and a signed contract are required to secure your event reservation. Your retainer fee is non-refundable. Final payment is due 30 days prior to your event. For your convenience, you may also pay the balance in full.
What is the shipping weight and size of each black and gray travel case with the photo equipment inside including printers, tripod, etc?
The Action Photo Booth ships in two containers, each measuring 2'10" x 1'2" x 3'8" tall. Case 1 = 116 lbs and Case 2 = 125 lbs.
